I have written, edited, casted, and produced these short films here on my website. This is what I am most passionate about, and I hope to spend the rest of my life sharing my work with the world.

Congratulations to senior Ayanna McMillan for winning the Leigh Whipper Gold Award at the Philadelphia International Film Festival this summer. PhilaFilm. The Philadelphia International Film Festival and Market, is sponsered by the International Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers, Inc and is administered by the PhilaFilm Festival Committee. PhilaFilm was establish in 1977 as an event to showcase the productions of independent, multicultural film and video artist worldwide. It is the region's longest running, international, independent film and video competition. Ayanna is pictured here with Lawrence Smallwood, the founder.

Dear Diary
Race Against Time
This is a video I created during my second year. I did the voice over, the filming, editing, writing, casting, and production of this entire film. My inspiration for making this film was to cause awareness about Rape. This story about a girl, who is writing her feelings in her diary because it is the only way she can share her feelings.
Throughout this short film, you will watch a girl rush to get ready in order to make her plans on time.
The Downside of Highschool
This is a video showing the effects of bullying. I was inspired to produce this film because as a teenager in High School, I am surrounded by a generation where the bullying rate is increasing. I have shared this video with young children to try and help make a difference. I have won a Golden Award from Philadelphia Films for this video and my Depression video.
Teen Depression
This video follows an average day in the life of a depressed teenager. This film is to raise awareness about depression and suicide as well as allow victims to understand that they're not alone. There is more than one way out.
What is Love?
This video discusses the extreme problems with domestic violence. I have done a lot of research on this topic and I wanted to raise awareness by creating a Public Service announcement for the public. Enjoy

Smoking PSA
This is a Public Service Announcement, which I created for a Biology and Cancer unit. This video shows how smoking can be addictive and lead to lung cancer.
